A growing up room
You are growing up every day.But do you know that your room is growing up with you?It sounds a little amazing, doesn't it?It's ture. But it doesn't mean that your room is becoming larger and larger in size.It has another meaning.
Did you have a room when you were a child? If so,it was your parents'duty to take care of it.They kept it clean and warm. They probably put some nice pictures on the walls.Maybe your room was filled with toys or dolls. If you didn't have your own room when you were a child, you may have asked for one when you got to be around 14 years old.At that age,you are no longer a child. You are a school boy or girl.Sometimes you need a quiet room to read your favourite books,or have a long talk with your friends on the plone,or you simply need a place to change clothes. So you need to have your own space.A room of course is the best choice.Your room belongs to you.It is your kingdom.Maybe you don't want anyone else to enter it without your permission.Even your parents must knock at the door before they come into your room. You clean and decorate it yourself, instead of your parents doing it.You arrange everything as you like.So your room is changing. To change your room doesn't mean you have to spend a lot of money buying and furniture. You can use photos of your favourite superstars to take the place of the old pictures. You may want to change the colour of the walls. There may be a timetable or old saying over your bed. Now,you see,you are a youth, and your room is just like you---not a child any more.
