Whether students should surf the Internet with the supervision of their parents
Good morning, everybody!
As we all know t he Internet changed our life enormously, there is no doubt about that. There are many advantages of the Internet that show you the importance of this new medium. What I want to say is that while Internet changed our life in a positive way, it has
Negative impacts on our daily life, too, this is especially true that children are often badly influenced by the internet.
The world of the World Wide Web and virtual space is going to become more important every year and everybody should be able to use this tool – especially children.
They should know how to get information, how they can buy something on the web, where they can meet people online.
They should be able to use the internet because if they are not, they are going to have great difficulties with getting on in their lives without knowing how to use the internet later on. Simply because it is a very powerful media which is going to be the main medium in the future.
I think that it is important that children learn not only to use the internet but also learn to have the right attitude towards the internet.
Parents should not just put their children in front of a computer and say “Oh well, that’s the internet, go on, have some fun and be quiet.” The internet was not made for children and so it should not be used as a babysitter.
You can never be sure what the child will get to see when it is online without an adult sitting next to it. There is so much harmful, offending and simply disgusting material on the internet, that it is – in my opinion – totally careless when you let your children surf through the net all by themselves.
Children are children and they are not adults. If you tell them not to look at – for example – pornographic sites, you can never be sure that they will not. Children are nosy ones – at least most of them are – and most children will go and have a look at pornographic materials on the internet. The only way to kept children from seeing harmful things on the internet is to limit their time of playing on net and supervise them. Once a while. Keep checking on the websites that the children have been surfing. If they go to the websites they are not supposed to go, give them a warning first. They will face consequences if they don’t do what they are told.
In a word, it is very important for parents to supervise their children when they surf on line. In my opinion, the best supervision is a good communication between parents and their children.

Now in the country areas, there are many children out of school. I think one of the reasons is that their families are too poor to afford their school. As a result, they have to stay at home to make money to keep their families. Another reason is that many parents think it useless for the girls to study and they would not like them to go to school. A third reason is that some children are not interested in their lessons, and would not like to go to school.
In my opinion all the children including the girls should have the chance to receive education. All the people should pay attention to the education of the children who will play a very important part in the future of our country.

In my opinion, I think that all the students in Montgomery Blair High School should wear uniforms for school.
The first reason is that with uniforms all the students will look better and orderly because it will look like all the students are clean and intelligent persons who are dedicated for their work in class. And maybe if they look like that, they can feel like that.
The second reason is that buying uniforms is cheaper that buying jeans and shirts for school and that is a benefit for the parents of the students that are in the school. Also the students won't have to worry about the clothes that they have to wear to school.
Another reason is that if they are out of school and the people want to know about what school that the student is going to, the people can know easily if the student is wearing a specific uniform. If a student from that school does something bad, the people from other places can know if the student is from a specific school.
I think that we have to support that the students should wear uniforms in Montgomery Blair High School, and if it is possible in the entire county too because is better for all of us.
