摘 要
随着城市建设、经济建设的发展和人口的增加，水污染问题的日益严重。水资源短缺和水质恶化已成为制约经济建设和城乡建设发展、破坏生态环境、影响人民生活和身体健康的突出问题。充分利用污水生化处理是我国治理和保护水环境的有效途径。污水处理过程中往往会出现若干故障，这些故障对出水水质指标和质量、操作成本以及安全性等方面会造成全面的影响。因此研究污水处理过程故障诊断系统对于提高出水效率、增强系统的稳定性、降低成本提高设备安全性等具有重要意义。
近些年一批大型污水处理厂的相继建成投产标志着我国污水处理事业发展到一个崭新的阶段。但是由于操作工的经验相对较少，导致运行效率低下，成本较高，开工率低。一些操作经验集中在少数专家中，专家系统的专家经验对无数处理设备的管理和维护有着重要指导作用，所以开发专家系统故障诊断系统对水污染的治理有着跨时代的意义。
污水处理过程非常复杂，污水的各种状况都会直接影响废水的处理效果，甚至造成系统的停滞、瘫痪和破坏。本文以污水处理工艺过程为背景，研究了以下内容：
（1）专家系统在污水处理过程中的应用，包括污水处理故障诊断专家系统知识表示污水处理专家系统规则库模块数据录入模块clips专家系统推理模块。
（2）污水处理故障诊断专家系统结构功能设计，前端界面的设计开发，以及与后台数据的交换。
（3）阐述了CLIPS在污水处理工艺中的使用、构建与推理方式。
本文在Windows XP平台环境下，采用Visual Basic 6.0和专家系统开发工具CLIPS混合编程方式，开发了基于VB和CLIPS混合编程的污水处理故障诊断系统。该专家系统对污水处理过程中设备的状态的处理数据进行检测从而对处理过程中的故障等有较高的诊断性能。
