Teenagers are very excited to go to university as that is his / her firt time of going out alone from their parents.
Basically, it is their first step into the sociaty. They like to go alone, but their parents don’t. They want to accompany their kid to enter the gate of university. Therefore, don’t blame these young people because their parents come to the university with them together.
We always say:
（可怜天下父母心。）
To be appreciated as a parent is quite unusual.
Accompanying kids to get in the university is something parents’ wishes. Therefore, their kids should understand and accept.
