在安装好ubuntu后更新完源列表后出错,求原由???

我原来一直用的是WINDOWS系统,这次下了个ubuntu的LINUX系统,想学习一下,安装好之后,根据网上搜的帖子,看到要更新源列表,所以按照帖子上的一步一步的装,结果在更新完列表后安装软件包的时候出错,下载时好象就没错,在后面出现很多还未被配置等等一些我看不懂的,下面前部分只列出了几个例子,错误如下:
dpkg：处理 ttf-opensymbol (--configure)时出错：
子进程 post-installation script 返回了错误号 49
dpkg：依赖关系问题使得 openoffice.org-core 的配置工作不能继续：

openoffice.org 依赖于 openoffice.org-base；然而：
软件包 openoffice.org-base 还没有被配置。
dpkg：处理 openoffice.org (--configure)时出错：

是ubnutu 7.10版的 系统是装上了的,这是在更新完源列表后,执行sudo apt-get dist-upgrade这个更新软件的命令时出的错
