1）Build up great interest in learning English if you don't have it;
2）Certain amount of vacabulary (eg, somewhat like those in level 2 of New Concept English) is essential for you to input (read or listen) and output (write or speak) English. By the way, New Concept English book is recommended!!
3）Listening comprehension needs as much practice as possible, and the progress you make may not be as much as expected and may not be linear, so, patience is required.
4）In order to output authentic English, try to mimic the pronounciation that you hear from native speakers as well as the expressions and vacabulary that you read from the essays by native speakers.
